She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest L. McCurley and Fannie Lee Johnson McCurley (Marvin "Sonny" Kersey); her daughter Sheila Kersey; and her siblings, Doyle McCurley, Billy McCurley, Norma Jean Creekmore and Georgia Ann Bartlett.
She is survived by: her husband Marvin "Sonny" Kersey; her daughter Melinda Kay Settle (Richie); her grandchildren, Amanda Wells (Steve), Jeremy Young (Hilary) and Jonathan Young (Brittney); her great grandchildren, Wesley, Hunter, Kathryn, Parker, Bryan Young, Harmony, Melody, Aria Miller, Brianna and Josh Wells; and her brother Bobby McCurley. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
