He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Hanby and Margaret Hanby (Mynes); his wife Anita Hanby; and his siblings, Patt, Margaret, Betty and Lorraine.

He is survived by: his children, Thomas Hanby (Leticia), Brandi Noval (Jerry Carter) and Sheryl Gardner (Matthew Gardner); his sisters, Mary Rathbun and Barbara House; his grandchildren, Kai Hanby, Kaleb Hanby, Kane Hanby, Sarah DeLong, Sean Gardner, Nick Gardner and David Noval; and his great grandchild Luke DeLong.
