He was predeceased by: his parents, Abe Laster, Sr. and Mabel Laster (King); his wife Reba Laster; his son Karl Don Laster; and his brothers, David Laster and Gerald Laster.
He is survived by: his children, Joel Laster (Charlene) of Millers Creek and Linda McDougal (Richard) of Clarksville, Arkansas; his sister Juanelle Wyers of Clarksville, Arkansas; and his grandchildren, Aaron Laster, Liza Raible, Albert McDougal, Austin McDougal and Andrew McDougal. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
