He was predeceased by: his parents, Pollock Durward Meeker and Addie Mae Paul Meeker; his aunt Nell; his uncle Tommy Meeker; and his stepbrother Bill Colbert.

He is survived by: his wife Janice England Meeker; his sons, Autry Meeker, Jr. (Melanie) and Matthew Meeker (Callie); his sister Evelyn Warhop; and his grandchildren, Lauren Brenon (Brian), Kristen English (Connor), Matthew Meeker, Jr. (Alesha), Madeline Lowry and Meredith Lowry. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
