He was predeceased by : his parents, Pinkey D. Reeves and Grace Muriel Reeves (Gray). He is survived by : his wife Camella L. Reeves (Wadley); his children, Brian Alan Reeves, Jama Gwen Hatcher and Melanie Dawn Gipson; and his siblings, Ronald D. Reeves and Frances Oberste. He is also survived by his five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
