She was predeceased by : her parents, Bill Houston and Martha Campbell Houston; her daughter Vickie Elaine Huss; and her siblings, Morris Houston, Billy Paul Houston, Truman Don Houston, Dane Mayes, Maxine Watson, Nola Hanshew and Gloria May Dobbs.

She is survived by : her son Ron Griffin (Ron Scarberry); her sister Linda Houston; and her grandchildren, Michelle Ruffaner, Valerie Holmesley and Stacey Fowler. She is also survived by her seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
