He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Luther Bean and Realon Houston Bean; his wife Betty Roberts Bean; his daughter Rebecca Ann Bean; and his siblings, Danny Joe Bean, Levon Bean, Wanda Mooney and Anna Mae Skiles.

He is survived by: his daughter Teresa Lynn Bean; his siblings, Carl Bean, Jim Bean, Joy Stevens and Nancy Welborn; and his friend Carolyn Wadley. He is also survived by his three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
