He is survived by: his wife Novella Yancey; his children, Cheryl Gardner, Jimmy Yancey Jr. (Jessie) and David Yancey; and his grandchildren, Stephanie (Mike), Gary (Lauren), Robert, Lance (Casey), Chris, Jon, Becca (Jonathan), Crystal, Morgan (Cooper) and Brianna. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces, and nephews.
