Though Ruth may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ruth touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arlin Higdon and Fay Cotton Higdon; her husband Thomas Shuffield (Tommy); and her grandson Chance Taylor. She is survived by: her children, Shawn Shuffield, Mark Shuffield (Lisa) and Kimberly Sullivan (Robert); and her siblings, Sam Higdon (Jan), Bobby Higdon (Lauri) and Sue Inmon. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
