He was predeceased by: his daughters, Carmin Simpson and Allison Chambliss; his parents, Carmen W. Simpson, Sr. and Gladys Simpson (Jones); and his brother Wayne Simpson.
He is survived by: his wife Gwen Simpson of Benton, Arkansas; his children, Aaron Poe (Dena) of Benton, James Simpson of Benton, Drew Simpson (Alecia) of Benton and Patrick Simpson (Taylor) of Benton; his grandchildren, Allison Dempsey (Branson), Catelyn Garcia, Haley Poe, Alyssa Poe, Dawson Simpson, Braxton Simpson, Bentley Simpson, Jackson Simpson, Collyns Simpson, Oaklyn Simpson, Ava Simpson and Brody Simpson; his great grandchildren, Mylee Dempsey, Laine Dempsey, Cohen Dempsey and Joely Doane; his brother Jody Simpson of Glen Rose; Wendell. He is also survived by Papa to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
