He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Helms and Leatrice Helms. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Helms; his children, Rachel DeClercq (Bert), Rebecca Helms (Joe Langley), Jessica Helms, Kelly Helms and Semaje Helms; his grandsons, Michael Sturgeon, John and Joe Robertson; and his siblings, Dorothy Upton and Dennis Helms (Reba). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.
