He is survived by: his wife Yvette Hammond; his sons, Gregory Hammond II (Ashley), Jonathan Hammond (Madison), Austin Meeks, Charles Stokes (Tonya) and Patrick Stokes; his siblings, James Hammond (Jimmy), Carla Smith and Jeremy Hammond (Jennifer); his friend John Cooper; and his parents, James Charles and Sandra Hammond (Rushing). He is also survived by five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a large host of extended family.
