It is with sadness that the passing of James M Deaton of Conway, Arkansas is shared. James, born on January 15, 1937, passed away on October 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Deaton and Lois Deaton; and his wives, Betty Deaton, Diane Rousey (Bill) and Mary Kelso.

He is survived by: his sons, Derek Deaton of Conway and Bob Deaton of Conway; his grandchildren, Abigail Mann (Austin), Maci Jones (Peyton) and Bailey Ehlers (Joshua); his great grandchildren, Avery Ehlers, Caroline Jones and Hallie Mann; his stepgrandchildren, Alison Harper and David Allen (Candice); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Piper, Parker, Carson, Emberleigh and Lainey; and his brother Bob Houston (Grace). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Crestlawn Memorial.
