He is survived by: his children, James Newton Jr. (Karen), Natalie Barile (Pete), Paige Puckett (Cary), John Newton (Debra), Stephanie Cody (Tommy), Bernie McAleese (Amanda), Johnathon Newton (Robin), Anthony Newton and Jaime Newton; his grandchildren, Amy, James III, Abby, Sean, Cole, Beau, Elijah, Isaiah, Kylie, Brantley, Laken, Layna, Prayleigh, Ayla and Rylett; his great grandchildren, Shelby, Bennett, Brooks, Daxton and Xavier; and his siblings, Dianne Bennett and Bennie Newton.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Choctaw Church of Christ (233 Ar 330 Hwy E, Choctaw, AR 72028).
