He was predeceased by: his wife Deanna Anderson; his brother Charles Anderson; and his parents, Clemmie Anderson and Donnie Anderson. He is survived by: his granddaughter Michelle Thompson; his daughters, Loretta Cummings (Gary), Brenda Bruce, Annette Harrell (Bruce) and Marietta Pearson (Gary); and his siblings, Fay Anderson and Carolyn Brady. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
