He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Dayer and Philomene Dayer; and his siblings, Louise Velte, Henrietta Favre, Christine Lesniak, Anne-Marie Jordan, Rose Daugherty, Adolph Sylvester Dayer, Joseph Daniel "Dan", Charles Louis, Louis Peter "Butch", Henry, Emile, Charles Raymond "Charlie", Eugene "Gene", Peter "Pete", Alphonse "Funzy", Leo and George Dayer.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Dayer; his sons, Michael and James (Robin); his grandchildren, Georgia (Blake), Drew (Emilee) and Thomas; and his great grandchild Mary Kate. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
