He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Thomas and Marie Thomas; and his brother Kenneth. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Thomas; his daughters, Kim (Todd Sousa), Kris Ferrell (Doug), Katie Thomas (Kelly), Shawna Burnett (Tommy), Rachel Presley (Jason) and Pam Gray (Matt); and his siblings, Pat (Rhiney), Hyde and David Thomas (Susie).
