Though Sammy may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Burns and Hattie Burns (Towe); and his sister Inez. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Burns; and his children, Mark, John and Sammy Jr.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
