He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Dorsett and Delores Dorsett (Luthultz); and his son Theodore Edward Dorsett, Jr. (Ted). He is survived by: his wife Agnes Dorsett; his daughter Julie Williams (Steve); his daughter-in-law Sherry Dorsett; his grandchildren, Devre Shea Bain, J. R. Williams, Melanie Garrett, Karen Hale (Jeremy), Angie Bradford (Clay), Michelle Dorsett and Nicole Dorsett; and his siblings-in-law, Marty and Bob Siegwald. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
