He is survived by: his parents, Alice Barefield-Washington of Marvell, AR and Elihue Barefield (Essie) of Marvell, AR; his wife Charlene Barefield of Conway, AR; his siblings, Debra Gilmore (Ivory) of Little Rock, AR, Terry Barefield of Little Rock, AR, Cassandra Gage (Jerome) of Palmdale, CA, Deneita Gamble of Fairview, TX, Aliesha Washington (Allen) of Sherwood, AR, Diesha Gamble of Marvell, AR, Dianne Sims (Rickey) of Marvell, AR, Rodney Barefield (Stacey) of Bryant, AR, Angela Barefield of Marvell, AR, Nikiel Barefield of Sherwood, AR, Venita Barefield of Memphis, TN and Shontel Taylor of Houston, TX; and his close friend Lolita Jergins of Conway, AR. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Matthews Baptist Church (15537 US 49, Marvell, AR 72366). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Twin City Church of Christ (1615 US 49, West Helena, AR 72355). A burial will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Poplar Grove Cemetery. A repast will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Marvell Elementary School (1018 US 49, Marvell, AR 72366).
