With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janice Prater of Corning, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 3, 2025 at the age of 69. She was predeceased by: her parents, J. C. Carter and Glenda Carter (Cavenar); her husband Jim Prater; and her son Jimmy Prater. She is survived by: her brother Dennis Carter (Julia) of Mason, TX; her aunt Sandy Smith of Corning; and her children, Diana Tillie (Wayne) of Corning, Greg Prater of Jonesboro, Tina Prater of Corning and Pete Prater (Melissa) of Jonesboro. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
