With sadness, we share the passing of Ruth Cavett of Corning, Arkansas. Ruth, born on August 27, 1933, passed away on September 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Thurman Cavitt; her parents, Cecil Daniel and Samatha Gertrude Cooper (Hart); her son David Pierce; and her siblings, Naomi Housdan, Mary Hoover, Gerald and Jimmy Cooper.
She is survived by: her children, Lynn Pierce of Cabot and Sherry Wally (Terry) of McDougal, Arkansas; and her grandchildren, Matt, Kristin, Kandi and Donald. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel (1000 W Elm St, Corning, AR 72422). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Hitt Cemetery.
