With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Charles Stracener of Coy, Arkansas, born in England, Arkansas, who passed away on September 17, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Stracener and Bessie Stracener; and his sister Bernice Slayden. He is survived by: his wife Johnnie Faye; his children, David Lynn Stracener (Benita) of Coy, Arkansas and Carla Scroggins (Jerry) of Rison, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Hunter Stracener (Andrea), Logan Sisson (Nathan), Drake Stracener (Haley) and Ty Scroggins; his great grandchildren, Lucas Stracener, Charley Sisson and Layton Stracener; his sister Margret Slayden; his brother-in-law Jerry "Red" Morris; his niece Brandy Sober; and his great-niece Bevan Sober.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his remembrance to CARTI or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
