He is survived by: his wife Sharon Tharpe Adkins; his children, Raphael (Daisy Adkins) of Eldorado, AR, Darrell (Nikki Adkins) of Dayton, OH, LaShanda White of Crossett, AR, LaTonia (Brian Woods) of Kannapolis, NC, April (Anthony Danzy) of Crossett, AR and Tiffany (Ray Martin) of McKinney, TX; his brothers, Edgar Johnson of Crossett, AR and Carlton Johnson of Detroit, MI; his father-in-law Freddie Lee Tharpe of Crossett, AR; and his brothers-in-law, Melvin (Denita Tharpe) of Jacksonville, FL, Larry (Margaret Tharpe) of Tulsa, OK and Bernard (Anika Tharpe) of Monroe, LA. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cromwell Funeral Home (600 E St Louis St, Hamburg, AR 71646). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Faith Center Church (300 N Louisiana St, Crossett, AR 71635). A burial was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at the Westview Cemetery (222 Rd, Crossett, AR 71635).
