It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Kay Moates of Crossett, Arkansas, who passed away on June 23, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Lee Smith Ferguson and Dan Ferguson; her brother Daniel Ferguson; her son Eli Stanley; and her husband Leonard Moates.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kay Anthony of Crossett, AR, Tracy Harville (Bobby) of Hamburg, AR, Barbara Craig (Steve) of Hamburg, AR and Gail Matthews (Coleman) of Hamburg, AR; and her grandchildren, Erin Denman (Will), Chris Ray (Krystal) of Jonesboro Hodge, LA, Blake Harville of Hamburg, AR, Danna Craig of Crossett, AR, Megan Zeigler (Chance) of Crossett, AR and Logan Matthews of Fayetteville, AR. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel (105 W 3rd Ave, Crossett, AR 71635). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Simms Cemetery.
