With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jerald Grey Roan of Crossett, Arkansas, born in Bastrop, Louisiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, J. T. Roan and Rosa Roan Faller; his stepfather Bob Faller; and his brothers, Joe, Jimmy and John Thomas Roan.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Brodnax Roan of Crossett; his son Christopher Jerald Roan (Patti) of Crossett; his stepchildren, Kim Hines (Donnie) of Crossett, Joni Stephens of Zachary, LA and Kelli McCabe (Jason) of Houston, TX; his sister Joyce Roan of Fayetteville, AR; his grandchildren, Colt, Chase Roan, LeeAnn Thurman, Candi Jerry, Ashley Harper, Chad, Cody Hines, Gregory, Alexandra, Kenedi Stephens, Danyelle Beavers, Makenzie and Joshua Hoff; and his great grandchildren, Jayden, Jess Thurman, Allie Risinger, Brianna Jerry, Christopher Jett Roan, Jacey Hines, Jaxton Ferguson and Lincoln Beavers.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Medders Funeral Home of Crossett (1564 State Hwy 52 W, Crossett, AR 71635). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at the Hickory Grove Cemetery (135 Ashley Rd 201 W, Crossett, AR 71635).
In lieu of flowers, Stumpy's family encourages donations be made to Breakthrough T1D, formerly known as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, in his memory.
