He was predeceased by: his parents, Doc Bolin and Irma Sawyer Bolin; his former wife Betty Barnett Bolin; his brother Dale Bolin; his in-laws, Willie Mac and Martiel Barnett; and his brothers-in-law, Karman Storset, Bobby Ray and Bruce Barnett.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Jordan Bolin of Crossett; his daughter Lisa Bolin McPherson of Austin, TX; his stepson John Stephen Bolin (Rhonda) of Hot Springs, AR; his siblings, Jerry Bolin (Virginia) of Morrilton, AR, Judy Bolin Ray of Crossett and Kitty Bolin Storset of Crossett; his sister-in-law Ann Bolin of Crossett; his grandchildren, John Marshall McPherson (Taylor), Carter Bristow McPherson and Logan James Sharp; and his stepgreat-grandsons, Gavin and Austin Measel. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Following his time in office, he continued his passion for infrastructure and advocacy as Executive Director of the Arkansas Good Roads Foundation.
