Maxine Hendrix Obituary

We announce the death of Maxine Hendrix of Crossett, Arkansas, who passed away on June 15, 2026, at the age of 84. Maxine will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband James Edward Hendrix; her parents, Edward Pendergrass and Betty Louise Holton Pendergrass; her daughter Carla Hendrix; and her siblings, Paul Pendergrass, Mary Hoff and Nancy Thompson.

She is survived by: her son Jim Hendrix (Jimmie Ann) of Crossett; her brother-in-law Ernie Thompson of Crossett; her grandchildren, Mike Carpenter of Crossett, Jamie Rice (Stacey) of Crossett and Barbie Townsend (Billy) of Little Rock; her great grandchildren, Jesse Harrington (Brittani), Adam Townsend (Courtney) and Luke Wallesch (Lydia); and her great great grandchild Ada Harrington. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Arkansas Nurse's Honor Guard.
