In the vast expanse of eternity, Waffie shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Waffie farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Steve Washington and Queen Ester Washington; her brother Sonny Washington; and her niece Rita Washington. She is survived by: her daughter Dorothy Jean Washington of Parkdale, AR; her grandchildren, Carlos Ramond Washington of Fort Worth, TX and Shuneka Montrea Udom (Desmond Udom) of Grand Prairie, TX; and her nephew Bruce Washington of Portland Arkansas. She is also survived by Seven great-grandchildren: Seven great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service Chapel (2501 US-82, Crossett, AR 71635). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the New Light Baptist Church (620 2nd Ave, Portland, AR 71663).
