He was predeceased by: his parents, James M. "Mutt" Murphy and Elizabeth Agnes Sain Murphy; and his sisters, Frankie Page and Reva Sue Garrett. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Murphy; his children, Denise Webb, Michael Hafenbrack (Sandy) and James Murphy III; and his sisters, Rose Grace and Jenny Quinton. He is also survived by five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
