He was predeceased by : his son Wayne Sides; his parents, Linnie Belle Sides (Hall) and John Lovic Sides; and his sister Verna Etoile Serrell (Sides). He is survived by : his wife Joan Winchell Sides; and his daughters, Patricia Sides (Dennis Davis) and Carol Sides (Glenn Prentice). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (1009 Main St, Danville, AR 72833). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
