He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Hurst and Christine Dison Hurst; and his siblings, Virginia Reynolds Derry, Betty Reynolds, Linnie Yeakley, Kenneth Hurst and Carl Baker.
He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Sue Hurst of Dardanelle; his children, Leslie McConnell of Russellville, Mark Hurst of Dardanelle and Sandra Darter of Atkins; his siblings, Arley Hurst (Shirley) of Russellville, Annie Cagle of Dardanelle, Kathy Lane (Floyd) of Dardanelle, Debbie Dunn (Lee) of West Memphis, AR and Teresa Spangler of Mississippi; his grandsons, Aaron McConnell (Michelle) of Springdale and Colby McConnell (Shelby) of Russellville; and his great grandchildren, Brantley, Brooks and Linlie McConnell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
