He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Edward and Ivy Irene Honnell Janes; and his wife Betty Jo Penney Janes. He is survived by: his son Nolen; his daughter-in-law Linda Janes of Mansfield, Texas; his grandchildren, Tina (Ron Snouffer) and Jason (Jacqueline Janes) of Mansfield, Texas; his great grandchildren, Ronnie Snouffer of Dallas, Jaxon Janes of Mansfield, Texas and Jace Janes of Mansfield, Texas; and his sisters, Nelda Williams of Durham and Nila Sue Wilson of Mena, Arkansas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home (1015 W Collin Raye Dr, De Queen, AR 71832). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Memorial Missionary Baptist Church (802 E Vandervoort Ave, De Queen, AR 71832).
