He was predeceased by: his parents, Abb Thomas and Katheryn Hall Short; and his brother Tommy Short. He is survived by: his sister Sherri Edge of Dierks, Arkansas; his children, John Barnhart of Florida, Brittany Santana of Louisiana, Heather Hamblin of De Queen and Kasey Short of De Queen; and his grandchildren, Nikolai, Catarina, Logan, Korvin, Evelynn, Bjorn and Galen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel (403 W Stillwell Ave, De Queen, AR 71832).
