Marvin left this world on October 10, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Burns (Bryant); his daughter Christy Bryant; his children-in-law, Diane Burns and Alan James; and his brothers, Wayland Burns and Bobby Burns.
He is survived by: his children, Rickey Burns (Gina) of Austin, Jimmy Burns (Nancy) of Tontitown, Tommy Bryant (Shannon) of Des Arc, Tammy Ellis (Johnny) of Clarendon, Mary Dale James of Russellville and Ann Dorsey (Dennis) of Florida. He is also survived by twenty-eight grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Garth Funeral Home Chapel (221 Main St, Des Arc, AR 72040). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (401 Erwin St, Des Arc, AR 72040). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Center Point Cemetery (2997 Center Point Rd, Hazen, AR 72064).
