He was predeceased by: his wife Wanda Sue Thompson; and his parents, Susie E. Tyson Thompson and John T. Thompson. He is survived by: his children, John Thompson, Jr. (Nikki) and Darla Thompson; and his grandson Trey Thompson (Lindsey).
