He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Everett and Nettie McDaniel Cotner; and his brothers, Richard Everett, Jr. (R. E.), Bobby Joe and Harold Wayne.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Adams Cotner; his daughters, Shelly Richardson (Mark) of Fayetteville, AR and Stephanie Smith of Dewitt, AR; his grandsons, Michael Heath Richardson of Oklahoma City, OK and Casey Smith of DeWitt, AR; and his nephews, Don Cotner of Southaven, MS and Ron Cotner of Horn Lake, MS..
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Essex Funeral Home (1405 S Grandview Dr, DeWitt, AR 72042). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Unity Missionary Baptist Church (823 W 4th St, DeWitt, AR 72042).
