He is survived by: his mother Sharon L. Bullock Rush (Laura Byers Rush); his son Alex Rush of DeWitt; his stepson Kris Thompson of Gillett; his daughter Bree Rush MacKenzie; and his sister Brenda Rush Hoyt (Rick) of Fayetteville.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to the Crockett's Bluff Cemetery.
