Karon Wood Obituary
Karon was born in Grants, New Mexico to Harold and Juanita Cook. Karon was a beloved wife and Nana, and a lover of anything with a touch of sparkle. She dedicated her life to her family and friends, and simple everyday moments. Known for her generous spirit and compassionate heart, which made her a confidant for so many.
Karon is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Bobby Cook, and one sister, Sharon Atkinson.
She will be missed in this life by her husband of 46 years Kenneth Ray Wood of Doddridge, AR; one son and daughter in law Brian and Lena Wood of Doddridge AR; grandchildren Dalton Wood, Katlin Wood, Destiney Wood (Austin) and Lauren Ashlin (Tim); great grandchildren Parker, Halen, Ava, Mya, Carolyn, and Amelia; and three special lifelong friends Vickie Whitecotten, Brenda Yowell, Shirley Morrow among many others.
Karon's services will be under the direction of Queen City Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held in her honor, Tuesday, March 24, 2026, beginning at 2:00 pm at Macedonia Cemetery in Doddridge, AR. Pastor George Goynes will be officiating.
