He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Grady and Virginia Sharp Vickers; his daughters, Marsha Vickers and Barbie Vickers; his daughter-in-law Vicki Vickers; his siblings, Herman Vickers, George Vickers, Dan Vickers, Margie Dubose, Doris Glasgow, Christine Morgan and Florence Gorman; and the mother of his children Jimmie Knowles Vickers.

He is survived by: his wife Mary of Dumas, Arkansas; his children, Rick Vickers of Muskogee, OK, Steve Vickers of Norman, OK and Kathy Vickers of Fayetteville; his stepsons, Scott Berg of Herbine and Chris Berg of Almyra; his brother Bobby Vickers; his sister-in-law Joyce Vickers; and his grandsons, Stephen Vickers, Zac Holthoff, Blake Vickers, Matt Vickers, Joe Vickers and Colby Berg. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
