With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Minnie Brasfield of Dumas, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 16, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Albert Chaffin Sr.; her husband John Brasfield; her daughter Cathy Chaffin-Poole; her granddaughter Latasha Coleman; and her sisters, Lula Chaffin Evans, Onnie Chaffin-King, Robbizine Chaffin, Gladys Chaffin and Angeline.
She is survived by: her children, Dorene Dean Jr. (Luther) of Dumas, Arkansas, Arnette Dean of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Kimberly Jenkins, Jerry Dixon (Latesa) of Little Rock and Willie Dixon Jr. of Little Rock, Arkansas.; her siblings, Albert Chaffin Jr. (Selena) of Dumas, Arkansas and Earnestine Wright of Chicago, Illinois.; her grandsons, Donnie Dean and Rodney Lambert Jr.; and her brothers, Columbus Chaffin, Ransom Chaffin and Otis Chaffin.
