He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Jane Stoll Schilling and Alvin "Short" Lyle Schilling; his sister Sandra Ver Helst; and his great grandchild Violet Kate Crites. He is survived by: his close friend Marjorie Ann Fondren; his sister Connie Schilling Bock; his children, Lyna Matesi, Roth Schilling, Nichole Crites and Joe Schilling; and the mother of his children Carol Woodford Schilling. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
