He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Archie and Effie Herring (Nelson); and his wife Sara Jane Farris. He is survived by: his siblings, Jacob, Eleanor, Roscoe (Bill) and Thomas (Tom); his sons, Mark Alan, David Brent and Michael Kent Herring; and his stepdaughter Donna Gail Shell (Sandifer). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
