It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Andrew Benton of El Dorado, Arkansas, born in Strong, Arkansas, who passed away on March 15, 2023, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Benton Jr. and Alma Benton; his sister Angela; and his daughter Connie. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Joyce Harris of El Dorado, AR; his children, Jamie "Boo" Benton-Davis (Antonio) of Andrea, Nancy, Nikki, McCoy (Stanley) of Camden, AR, Sheila Nunley of Little Rock, AR, Theola "Bonnie" Harris-Younger (Jerome) of Minneapolis, Minnesota., Yancy R. Harris (Sonya) of El Cajon, Paul Harris of El Dorado, AR., Danielle Benton-Young (Michael) of Shaneil, Yarbrough (Larry), Cassandra "Rosie" Vaughn-Andrews (Curlee) and Martavious Carrigan; his siblings, Wallace Benton (Petra) of Germany, Michael Benton (Rosa) of Texarkana, TX, Kevin Benton (Kiffany) of El Dorado, AR., Laura Matthews (Charles) of Duncanville, TX, Bertha Hicks of El Dorado, AR., Belinda Richmond of El Dorado, AR. and Lisa Hausley (Dennis) of El Dorado, AR.; his aunts, Jean Bernard, Mae Lee Harley and Erma Banks; and his siblings-in-law, Samuel Johnson (Sherry) of Davenport, Iowa. and Linda Ramey of Atlanta. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
