He was predeceased by: his parents, James Columbus "J. C." and Jennie Clyde Burns; and his brother David Burns of Warren, Arkansas.. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Brockwell Burns of El Dorado; his sons, Chris Burns (Cindy) of El Dorado and Jeff Burns (Beth) of Hendersonville, Tennessee.; his grandchildren, Morgan Areno (Jay) of Ruston, Louisiana, Caitlin Allen (Nick) of Charleston, Elizabeth Burns (Adam Baker) of Chicago, Illinois and Jared Burns of Hendersonville, Tennessee.; and his siblings, Kathryn Savage of Bedford, Texas, Mary McClellan of New Edinburg, Arkansas and Larry Burns of Warren. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
