He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Fortune and Cornelia Elsenraat Fortune. He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Fortune (Marcie), Justin Howard and Eric Fortune; and his grandchildren, Taylor Fortune, Brody Fortune, Caleigh Howard, Elliott Howard and Jonn Fortune.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home - El Dorado (400 N College Ave, El Dorado, AR 71730).

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
