Wonder Slater Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wonder Slater (El Dorado, Arkansas), born in Cotton Valley, Louisiana, who passed away on July 2, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Tony Bill New; her husband Cecil Marion Slater; her close friend Lorenzo Cortez; her siblings, Barbara New, Tony New and Donny New; and her granddaughter-in-law Stacy Elaine Slater.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Healey (Patrick), Barbara Bates, Angela Moses (Flint) and Cecil Slater, Jr. (LaNette); her grandchildren, Shawn Bates, David Slater, Elizabeth Healey, Brandi White, Jake Sweet, Patrick Healey, Jr., Stacy Schimberg, Johnathon Bates and Joey Slater; and her sister Clarke (John). She is also survived by twenty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
