He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Sanford and Juanita Sanford; his former wife Barbara Sanford; his brother Father Harold Sanford; his son-in-law Clinton Holland; and his grandson Dayton Reynolds.

He is survived by: his wife Fay; his children, Christine Holland of Clarksville, Cathleen Vandergriff of Lawton, Shelly Hollingsworth (Scott) of Elkins, Carrie Henderson (Eric) of Fayetteville and Bill Wooten (Jessica) of Elkins; his grandchildren, Kelsey, Mackenzie, Joseph, Sophia, Dallas, Dylan, Delia, Will, Wesley, Walker and Shelby; and his great grandchildren, Josiah, Mae, Madison, Lacynn, Liam, Evie, River, Tristen, Oliver, Beau, Talon, Nolan, Collin, Weston and Zoey.
