He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas B. Sparks and Myrtle Unger Sparks; his sister June Napier; his stepson Michael Schrontenboer; and his brothers, Roy Sparks, Jimmie Sparks and Tommie Sparks.
He is survived by: his wife Fay Klug Sparks; his children, Roxanne Hayes (John "Doc") and Ricky Sparks (Michelle) of Elkins; and his sisters, Faye Neal of Fort Smith, Stella Crittenden of Fort Smith and Charlotte Bond of Cedarville. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
