He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Martin and Rosie (Fred Hutton); his sisters, Gwendolyn Simon, Monica Hutton and Wanetta Martin; his brother-in-law David Pierce; his aunt Ellen Colbert; and his nephews, Theus Martin, Damion Martin, Tyson Martin, Todd Patterson and Deonte Fulsom.
He is survived by: his close friends, Ryan Stephens, Marvin Carter and Marlo Walls; his wife Julie Sisemore; his sons, Marel-Manuel Y. Martin of Elkins, Zanuel Martin of Elkins and James Martin of Elkins; his stepchildren, Ki'Ara Martin of Kansas City, Missouri and Malenda Centeno of Elkins; his grandchildren, Ki'Onte Martin, A'Mylia Gordon, Promise Gordon, Waylon Martin and Kay'Ori Goodspeed; his siblings, Joseph "Papa Joe" Martin (Jackie), Donna Walters (Ervin), Rosemary McDowell (Robert), Oliver Martin Jr. (Carla), Todd Martin, Pamela Battle (Deno), Sabrina Edmond and Larry Burrell (Gloria); and his aunts, Mildred Burkhalter and Bertha Jackson. He is also survived by 25 nieces and nephews, 38 great nieces and nephews, and 1 great-great nephew.
